วัตถุประสงค์
จัดทำเพื่อใคร ?
จัดทำขึ้นเพื่อให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ
เพื่อให้ผู้คนที่สนใจจะฝึกภาษาอังกฤษสามารถเข้าใจและใช้ได้ง่ายมากยิ่งขึ้น
แม้จะเป็นผู้เริ่มต้นฝึกภาษาอังกฤษ
และยังนำบางเรื่องที่คนไทยส่วนมากยังเข้าใจผิดเกี่ยวกับการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษมาให้ความรู้อีกด้วย
บางคนอาจจะคิดว่า การเติม sและ es ง่ายจะตายจะเอามาสอนทำไม
แต่รู้หรือไม่ว่าบางครั้งเราก็ใช้ผิดและใช้ผิดบ่อยด้วย
ดังนั้นจึงจัดทำบล็อกนี้ขึ้นมาเพื่อให้เป็นประโยชน์ต่อผู้คนที่สนใจในภาษาอังกฤษ
ถ้าอยากเก่งภาษาอังกฤษต้องทำยังไง......

รู้ไว้จะได้คุยกับเจ้าของภาษาได้ง่ายขึ้น!!
ดังนั้น idioms จึงเป็นสิ่งที่เพื่อนๆควรเรียนรู้ไว้ เพื่อที่จะได้เข้าใจเวลาคนต่างชาติพูด หรือเพื่อที่ว่าเราจะสามารถพูดได้เหมือนเจ้าของภาษามากที่สุดนั่นเองครับ
A great deal – จำนวนมาก มากมาย
We’ve heard a great deal about you.
A piece of cake – ง่ายมาก เรื่องหมูๆ ง่ายเหมือนปอกกล้วยเข้าปาก
It’s easier than I thought. It’s a piece of cake.
After all – อย่างไรก็ตาม ไม่ว่าอย่างไรก็ตาม
But after all, they are our children.
All over the place – ทั่วทุกที่ ทุกหนทุกแห่ง กระจัดกระจาย เกลื่อน

Be in the same boat – ลงเรือลำเดียวกัน ประสบปัญหาหรือความยุ่งยากเหมือนกัน

Be my guest – ตามสบายเลย เชิญตามสบาย ไม่ต้องเกรงใจ

Be out of order – เสีย ใช้การไม่ได้ ไม่เข้าท่า ไม่เป็นระเบียบ

Catch up with – ตามทัน ไล่ทัน พบ

Cheer up – ให้กำลังใจ ปลอบใจ ทำให้รู้สึกดีขึ้น ทำให้ร่าเริงขึ้น

Cope with – จัดการกับ รับมือกับ

Cross the line – ล้ำเส้น ข้ามเส้น ข้ามแดน

Day in and day out – ตลอดเวลา อย่างต่อเนื่อง ไม่มีหยุด

Deal with – ติดต่อกับ จัดการกับ เกี่ยวข้องกับ รับมือกับ

From time to time – บางครั้ง
You’ll hear that from time to time.
Get lost – หลงทาง แต่ถ้าเป็นคำสั่งจะเป็นในเชิงการไล่ แปลว่า ไปให้พ้น ไปให้ห่างๆ ไสหัวไป
Take a map with you in case you get lost.
Get together – พบปะ รวมตัวกัน รวมกลุ่มกัน พบปะสังสรรค์กัน
I thought we should get together and talk.
Go for a walk – เดินเล่น ไปเดินเล่น ไปกินลมชมวิว
Let’s go for a walk in the wood.
Hang out – ออกไปข้างนอก ออกไปสังสรรค์
She does not want me to hang out with her.
Have a good time – สนุกสนาน เพลิดเพลิน ขอให้สนุกนะ
I hope you have a good time at the beach.
Hold one’s ground – ยึดมั่นอยู่ที่เดิม ไม่ถอย ตั้งรับ ตั้งมั่น รักษาสถานะไว้
If you hold your ground, then you might have a chance.
In advance – ล่วงหน้า ก่อนหน้า ก่อนเวลา
Could you pay me in advance?
Keep a promise – รักษาสัญญา ทำตามสัญญา
I must keep a promise I made.
Keep an eye on – เฝ้าดู เฝ้ามอง จับตาดู
Keep an eye on the baby, please.
Keep away from – อยู่ห่างจาก หลีกหนีจาก หลีกเลี่ยงจาก
Keep away from the doors and windows.
Keep in touch – ติดต่อกันไปเรื่อยๆ ติดต่อกันไม่ได้ขาด

Keep one’s eye on – เฝ้าดู เฝ้ามอง จัดตาดู

Keep one’s word – รักษาคำพูด รักษาสัจจะ ทำตามที่พูดไว้

Let someone down – ทำให้ผิดหวัง

Lose one’s temper – อารมณ์เสีย เสียอารมณ์ โกรธ ขุ่นเคือง
I promise! I’ll never lose my temper again!
Lose one’s way – หลงทาง จำทางไม่ได้
I’ve lost my way somewhere
Lose sight of – ลืม ลืม(วัตถุประสงค์) ไม่เห็น มองไม่เห็น

Make a deal with – ทำข้อตกลงกับ

Make a promise – ให้สัญญา ทำสัญญา
I want you to make me a promise.
Move away from – ผละจากไป ออกจาก ถอยออกจาก

Once in a while – นานๆ ครั้ง เป็นครั้งคราว ชั่วครั้งชั่วคราว
